Snag Freebies Worth Up to $198 When You Grab the Meta Quest 3 VR Headset

Whether you’re brand new to virtual reality gaming or you’re just looking to upgrade your current VR system, the Meta Quest 3 is the best mixed reality VR headset you can currently get your hands on. Prices start at $499, but Newegg is sweetening the deal with some valuable freebies thrown in with your purchase, including a free game, a free VPN subscription and more. We don’t know how long this offer will last, so we recommend making your purchase sooner rather than later.

Buying the 128GB model of the Meta Quest 3 will score you Asgard’s Wrath 2 game (a $60 value), absolutely free, as well as a 12-month subscription to NordVPN, which is valued at $70 and is one of our favorite VPN services. Though you can sideload VPN apps onto the Quest, that subscription is primarily useful for your other tech devices and can run on six of them at once. Plus, you’ll also receive a $10 Newegg gift card that you can put toward a future purchase.

However, if you opt to upgrade to the 512GB Meta Quest 3, you’ll not only get the same free game and NordVPN subscription, but you’ll also get a larger $20 Newegg credit and six months of Meta Quest Plus, worth $48. That’s close to $200 in freebies. Just keep in mind that this package goes for $649.

If you have the previous-gen Meta Quest 2 and it’s in good condition, there’s no hurry to upgrade. That said, the Meta Quest 3 is the best option on the market right now (especially as an alternative to the $3,500 Apple Vision Pro), thanks to its upgraded processor and mixed reality experiences — and this deal offers a lot of value that offsets some of its cost. Be sure to check out our roundup of Meta Quest 3 deals for all the latest offers.

If you’ve been keeping a close eye on VR headsets, now might be the time to go for one, with the latest Meta Quest 3. Though it certainly isn’t a perfect system, it gets really close to ideal, especially with its mixed reality and augmented reality setups. Of course, given that it’s still relatively new and is a considerable upgrade from the Meta Quest 2, there aren’t any good direct discounts on it. That said, buying the 128GB version will net you a free game, while the 512GB model will also get you Meta Quest Plus for six months. The game and subscription add up to about $100, so it’s a good deal if you look at it from that perspective.

Unlike the Meta Quest 2, the Quest 3 embraces both virtual reality and mixed-reality experiences, similar to Apple’s Vision Pro and last year’s Quest Pro. It costs a lot less than both those devices, though, with a $500 starting price.

Other improvements over its predecessor include a new Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor, better graphics, a higher-resolution display and improved controllers.

We’ll continue to update this collection of Meta Quest 3 offers as more become available, so if nothing grabs you right now, check back later.

As we get ever closer to Super Bowl LVIII on Feb. 11, now is a great time to start making game-day plans. You’ll need to make sure you get the right snacks and some drinks to go with them, but most of all you need the right home entertainment setup. If you pledged that 2023 would be the last time you watched a Super Bowl game on old and busted TV, Woot has the deals for you.

Right now Woot will sell you a range of TVs and soundbars from some of the biggest names in the game. Samsung, LG and Hisense make some of the best TVs and audio gear around, and now you can get devices at prices starting from just $175.

That $175 gets you a Hisense Dolby Atmos Soundsystem including a soundbar and subwoofer — a full 50% off the normal asking price. Need a new TV as well? There are plenty of options available including some huge OLED displays. The LG OLED C3 TV is included, with prices starting at just $1,597 with a free Visa gift card worth up to $300 thrown in for good measure. Prefer to go the Samsung route? The Samsung S95C series of TVs starts from just $2,270.

As great as these prices are, there’s still a catch to consider. Woot says that these deals will all come to an end on Jan. 29 at 11:59 p.m. CT, so make sure to get your order in before that time. Not sure these TVs hit the spot? Check out our list of the best 4K TV deals to make sure you’re all kitted out for the game.
